Imposter Syndrome or Just Moving Too Fast? A Lesson in Slowing Down

Imposter syndrome this morning.
On my call with my business coaches, I felt like a kindergartener making up show-and-tell as I went along.

I am working on meta ads to drive my copywriting/marketing business leads. Last week's coaching call involved creating the ads and sending them to be reviewed on today's call. I quickly created the ads in Canva on Sunday afternoon.
Is there a time limit when using a template, especially one given to you by the business coach?
Not really. That's why templates we have templates, right?
But, I missed some key message elements that would strengthen the ads.
Thankfully, I had my business coaches place their eyes on it and make recommendations.
That's the benefit of having mentors, collaborators, editors, and the revision process.
Sometimes, as creatives, our brains go so fast with the process of creating that we overlook or miss some parts. But this is "brain dumping," right?
Paraphrasing Stephen King from his book On Writing, a creator has to put the work aside for a bit, take a walk, grab that extra cup of coffee or matcha or water, and then come back to it with fresh eyes and perspective.
So, imposter syndrome? No. It's a time-to-slow-down syndrome. Trust yourself, your mentors, collaborators, editors, and business coaches. You'll overcome that kindergartener and have true show-and-tell.
